Cardiology (Heart)

Cardiology (Heart)

Cardiology is a field which studies diseases and problems of the heart such as; heart failure, heart blockage, electrophysiology, coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease.

Our cardiologists are involved in the treatment of heart attacks, heart failure, and serious heart rhythm disturbances.

Our cardiologists serve as consultants to advise patients on their lifestyle, prescribe suitable medications and perform physical examinations.

Physical examinations can include checking blood pressure, weight, and blood vessels, as well as determining symptoms and tests to undergo, such as X-Ray, Ambulatory ECG, Cardiac Catherization, Echocardiogram, exercise test or blood test.

We offer treatment such as coronary angioplasty (stenting), pacemaker implantation (for slow heart rate), ICD implantation (for fast heart rate) and CRT implantation (for heart failure).

With more than 23 years in service, Timberland Medical Centre is among the leading private hospitals and medical centres in the region (Kuching, Sarawak, Borneo, Kalimantan) to specialize in Cardiology; assisting in the healing of the sick so they may enjoy a better quality of life.
